Erail - Medium Duty Theatre Curtain Track

Overview

Erail is a compact profile extruded aluminium track with a comprehensive range of component parts available that enable it to be used for all but the heaviest professional main stage curtains.

Operation of Erail is almost silent by the use of ball raced nylon wheels making it an ideal choice for small stages, conference halls, hotels, and school halls.

If a cord system is required, Erail uses the standard matt black pre-stretched polyester cord used on other Triple E tracks. Hand or motorised winches are available for operating Erail, or just a tensioned floor pulley.

Erail can be rolled to any radius; the minimum is 500mm, (1' 8"). Erail is stocked in 6.1m (20') lengths.

Specification

The external dimensions are 25mm (1") wide x 37mm high (1 1/2"). The track is configured as an 'I' beam lower section with a tee slot above. The carrier wheels run between the flanges of the beam. Erail carriers are 24mm (1") wide for calculating stacking distances. Carriers are normally attached to curtains at 300 mm, 250mm or 200mm centres. The leading carrier is 70mm (2 3/4") wide and this can be fitted with an overlap arm if required. The upper channel accepts an 8mm threaded tee channel nut which is used to suspend the track with a selection of standard or UniStrut type brackets and studding. In the bottom centre of the extrusion is a keyhole slot that accepts a roll pin to align the running surfaces when the track sections are joined. Each joint set comprises of a flat plate with 4 grub screws that fits into the top slot and 1 roll pin.

ERAIL is a black anodised 'I' form Aluminium extruded track. Both our M8 ERAIL and 2WAY Tee channel nuts can be used for attaching various different cording components and suspension fittings. Triple E ERL06 runners travel on the lower running surface of the extrusion and a roll pin inserted into the bottom section of the track ensures alignment of the running surfaces for permanent installations. Individual track section can also be joined using our joint set ERL05.

The ERAIL extrusion is stocked in 6.1m (20foot) lengths but can be supplied in cut lengths as required. The maximum permissible length for UK shipping is 3.05m(10 feet).
ERL01ERL01 STRAIGHT TRACK per metre
Black anodised ERAIL curved track sections are sold by the linear meter with a minimum radius of 500mm and a maximum linear length of 5m. M8 ERAIL and 2WAY channel nuts can be inserted anywhere along the continuous top channel for the attachment of suspension fittings. Separate track sections can be joined using our ERL05 joint sets and the lower section of the track features a keyhole slot for a roll pin which can conveniently be used for aligning the running surfaces.ERL01CERL01C ERAIL CURVED TRACK PER METRE

The ERL05 ERAIL joint set consists of two plates. The first plate can be placed into the top channel and the second plate with countersunk holes is fitted onto the top surface of track. These are consequently held together with four M6 countersunk hex head screws. A supplied roll pin can also be inserted into a keyhole slot located in base of the track to ensure correct alignment of the running surfaces.ERL05ERL05 JOINT PLATE
The ERL06 ERAIL carrier is constructed from a laser profiled 'U' bracket to which two rubber buffers are fitted. Ball raced wheels ensure a silent operation and the curtains can be attached using a swivel hook located in the base of the runner. Each runners has a SWL of 15Kg.ERL06ERL06 TWO WHEEL RUNNER

The ERL19 curve cord guide bolts directly onto the top of the ERAIL track via an M8 bolt and Tee channel nut. It guides the operating cord around the top of the track system and should be positioned at 500mm centers (2m centers on straight track sections). The assembly comprises of 3 black plastic ball raced capstan pulleys 28mm in diameter mounted to a metal plate. The capstan pulleys are mounted either as a close pair and or a single. All metalwork is finished in black.ERL19ERL19 CURVE CORD GUIDE
The Head Pulley Cord Guide is located in front of the head pulley assembly on both straight and curved corded systems. Its role is to ensure that the operating cord is guided at the correct angle into the ERL09 head pulley. The assembly consists of four 28mm capstans attached to a metal plate that is fixed to the track via two M8 bolts and Tee channel nuts. The ERL21 comes finished is black.ERL21ERL21 HEAD PULLEY CORD GUIDE
The ERL23 is designed for use with other suspension components such as the TRA13, TRA14, TRA15, TRA16 and TRA18. The top holes work as an offset plate on curved overlap tracks and are suspended from a single tube or pipe. The Curve Suspension Bracket is a formed steel fabrication and provides a clearance for the suspension fittings. This allows for the installation of the track cording components. The top plate also has two 13mm mounting holes and the base has a single fixing for an M8 CSK bolt and a Tee channel nut. ERL23ERL23 CURVE TRACK SUSPENSION BRACKET (BLACK)
