On curved tracks to prevent the runner sticking or jamming a 4 wheeled runner is designed to be used.
A four wheeled carrier or trolley is used to attach and support a curtain or scenic cloth and each is capable of supporting a safe working load of 25Kg.
The upper pair of flanged plastic ball-raced wheels roll along the running rails of the track and lower pair are in close engagement with the underside of the running rails. Both pairs of wheels are fastened to a 'U' shaped metal strap forming the 'stirrup which has metal eye loop centrally placed on the underside for attaching the curtain hook. Four rectangular rubber sleeves, two on each vertical arm of the stirrup and which project beyond the wheel diameter, act as resilient impact buffers to reduce the noise when the runners come together in a curtain bunch.
Two further holes are provided located on the blade of the stirrup either side of the curtain eye loop; these are to enable other accessories to be retro fitted.
A 4 wheeled runner can only be added to a track system at one end of the layout, after the end stop has been removed.
The overall width of the 4 wheeled runner measured over the black rubber sleeves is 40mm. The finish of the wheels and body is matt black.

A twin wheeled carrier or trolley used on straight tracks to attach and support a curtain or scenic cloth. A rearfold runner is identical to a 2 wheeled runner but with the addition of a rearfold accessory fitted. This will cause the curtain to stack at the rear or offstage end of the curtain instead of at the centre. They are usually spaced at 300mm centres along the top of the curtain or cloth and each is capable of supporting a safe working load of 25Kg.
The two flanged plastic ball raced wheels roll along the running rails of the track and these wheels are fastened to a 'U' shaped metal strap forming the 'stirrup' which has a metal eye loop centrally placed on the underside for attaching the curtain hook. Four rectangular rubber sleeves, two on each vertical arm of the stirrup and which project beyond the wheel diameter, act as resilient impact buffers to reduce the noise caused when the runners come together in a curtain bunch.
Two further holes are provided located on the base of the stirrup either side of the curtain eye loop. The Rearfold accessory is bolted to the stirrup using two small bolts and self-locking nuts. It comprises of a rectangular plate with a tag fastened to a link of a roller chain and to which another shaped plate is attached having a 9mm diameter hole in it to accept the track operating cord and the plate is large enough to make contact with the resilient rubber sleeves fitted on the runner. The attachment bolts must be fitted so that the heads are between the underside of the track tubes and the stirrup. The tag with the cord hole is positioned on the rear or offstage side of the 2 wheeled runners when assembling the Rearfold runner into the system.
A hard plastic flat 'keeper' bar mounted vertically on edge engages with the lower sides to the stirrup at a position where the top edge is just clear of the underside of the track running rails. The bar is a semi-flexible strip spanning the inside width of the 'U' stirrup with two short prongs each end locating in two holes in each arm of the stirrup. Its purpose is to ensure that the wheeled carrier remains upright on the track rails and cannot be dislodged. With the Rearfold accessory fitted and the cord threaded through the plate it is not possible to add or remove Rearfold runners. The cord must be removed from the track system first.

This component is capable of carrying a much heavier load than the standard Scenery Carrier and has a Safe Working Load of 100Kg.
The heavy Duty Scenery Carrier has a wider 'U' shaped body across the 'U' and is also longer. The increase in the dimensions is to accommodate stiffening webs at each extreme ends of the body stirrup and also to provide space to mount the four extra side wheels. The main top and bottom wheels are not flanged. The carrier is designed to carry heavy items on both straight and curved track systems where the additional weight would normally damage the flanges. The carrier can be used in conjunction with the scenery carrier bottom TRA 28B. All twelve ball race wheels are bolted to the bodywork of the carrier.

A twin wheeled carrier or trolley used on straight tracks to attach and support a curtain or scenic cloth. They are usually spaced at 300m centres along the top of the curtain or cloth and each is capable of supporting a safe working load of 25Kg.
The two flanged plastic ballraced wheels roll along the running rails of the track and these wheels are fastened to a 'U' shaped metal strap forming the 'stirrup' which has a metal eye loop centrally placed on the underside for attaching the curtain hook. Four rectangular rubber sleeves, two on each vertical arm of the stirrup and which project beyond the wheel diameter, act as resilient impact buffers to reduce the noise caused when the runners come together in a curtain bunch.
Two further holes are provided located on the base of the stirrup either side of the curtain eye loop; these are to enable other accessories to be retro-fitted.
A hard plastic flat 'keeper' bar mounted vertically on edge engages with the lower sides to the stirrup at a position where the top edge is just clear of the underside of the track running rails.
